We are looking for a sponsor to do for golf what Nextel does for NASCAR.

 Coca-Cola may sponsor the event and Lowe's may have their name on the Charlotte track, but in the TV booth Nextel gets 85% of the conversation. In driver interviews Nextel gets as much time as all the car sponsors put together. And all other Media simply print or talk about the Nextel National Championship, not the event sponsors. This will happen in golf also.

Sponsor obligations:

Provide the purse for the championship they choose. That championship will then be stated as sponsored by "Company Name" or
["Company Name" National Championship]
The total purse must be 6 times the first place prize. 
The purse must be distributed to the top 100 players per our distribution rules. Funds left over is our licensing fee. Any awards ceremony cost will be borne by the sponsors and media partners. Any revenue received from TV or other such income for use of the name or any licensing, must be shared.
Sponsors need to post a performance bond to guarantee the purse, unless other arrangements are made. Marketing staff can change their minds too easily.
