Ranking Americas' Best Professional Golf Players |
Who are top golf equipment manufactures
for 2005?

All golfers want to be able to get the lowest score possible. To do that they look for the best trainer and the best equipment. We cannot help with the trainers. When it comes to equipment the average golfer looks to see what the Pros are using. It is very hard for the regular golfer to determine who to follow. Should the weekend golfer look to a very "high ranked pro player" who only plays a limited number of times a year or a top 100 pro that plays significantly more times a year as the typical golfer does. Our ranking is based not only on a players score, but on how often they play. Therefore we have included the name of the equipment sponsor for as many of the players as possible. We averaged the ranking of the all players using the same equipment, which gives us an indication of what equipment produces the lowest score for players of same general ability, such as our top 100. This should carry over to the general public. Also while viewing these lists golfers should look at the number of players sponsored by a manufacturer as this is an indication of the confidence that players have in a manufacturer's equipment. We only use players the equipment manufacturers have designated as "Professional Staff." The Men's and Women's National Rating is from a combined tour sheet we keep on those tours as we split them in our player rankings.
In viewing the combined ranking of equipment manufactures over all major tours. No Ladies were found on the Titleist site. All the players shown with a sponsor name in our rankings were found on the manufactures web site. |
